An 11-year-old Smithtown boy is back home after being stranded in South Carolina due to Friday's global tech outage that canceled thousands of flights.
The boy's mother says Delta Airlines would not rebook her son because he was an unaccompanied minor.
"It's appaling to see the customer service I received - I was hung up on yesterday after three hours, trying to figure out what my options were," she said.
The boy was able to fly home Tuesday evening on American Airlines.
