Small earthquake strikes typhoon-ravaged Philippines
Officials in the Philippines have reported that a 4.5 magnitude earthquake has struck the typhoon-ravaged Bohol area.
According to officials, there was no damage or injuries were reported.
The U.S. has already pledged $20 million in immediate aid.
Meanwhile, officials say the death toll from the typhoon is expected to rise again today. So far, more than 1,700 people are confirmed dead and the Philippine president now says the number is not likely to reach the previous estimate of 10,000.
The USS George Washington is on its way to the Philippines to provide much needed aid.
U.S. Marines are already on the ground helping the recovery and rescue efforts.
An estimated 2 million people are in need of clean water, food and medication.
