A Sayville Middle School student is focused on her future and the future of others.

Julia Lilienthal participates in the Future City Competition, and it involves a bunch of schools or groups of people who compete. The competition is to create a futuristic city and come up with ideas for a sustainable future.

Lilienthal and her team won the regional part of the competition. The team is now in the national competition.

Julia’s team is representing Sayville, and they worked to create a more sustainable future for the community. Their focus was on a mad lab for transportation, and a kinetic energy test.
