People with developmental disabilities learned about the process of voting through sandwiches.
Those who took part in the program were asked whether they prefer a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a chicken parmesan sandwich.
The event, hosted by Family Residences and Essential Enterprise (FREE), taught participants how a ballot worked, showed them an actual voting booth and how to ask for assistance at the polls.
The National Disability Network says 17.7 million people voted in the 2020 election and that almost 2 million of them reported having difficulty in the voting process.
In this election, the chicken parmesan sandwich came out on top.
