Nassau police arrested a Roslyn High School security guard on narcotics charges Wednesday.
Investigators say Evelyn Garza, 46, of Roslyn Heights, dropped two bags of cocaine from her pants pocket. They say a student picked up the bags and turned them in to a teacher, who informed the principal. Three grams of cocaine were confiscated and school administrators fired Garza immediately.
Police say they do not believe Garza, who worked at the school for three years, planned on selling the drugs. She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and is scheduled for arraignment March 22.
