Hundreds of people filled the pews at Saint Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre in celebration of Easter.
The gathering was the largest Easter attendance at the cathedral in years. Sunday’s service prayers were dedicated to Detective Jonathan Diller and his family.
Those who weren’t in attendance at Saint Agnes told News 12 that they are spending the day participating in Easter activities with local churches, while others say they are spending time with family and friends.
For the DePalma’s, the holiday was filled with lots of family photos. It is the couple’s first Easter with their 7-month-old twins, Matthew and Thomas. They were baptized at Saint Agnes.
