Love, Nana is a nonprofit that puts together baby bundles for those in need. For the kickoff to “HOPE Week,” the Yankees chose to honor the Rockville Centre nonprofit.
Joan Hyland, also known as “Nana,” threw out the first pitch at Monday’s Yankees game. The team was honoring Hyland’s nonprofit for the kickoff of its annual HOPE week, when the team honors those making a difference in their communities.
Volunteers with “Love, Nana” regularly put together baby bundles for those in need of clothing for babies (up to 24 months).
The Yankees gave the organization a $10,000 check and lots of baby goodies.
