What signs should parents look out for that would indicate their child is in an abusive relationship? How should they approach talking to them about it?
These are just some of the questions answered Thursday night at a Red Flags of Dating workshop.
Classes were held simultaneously for children and parents in separate rooms, in the hope of starting a dialogue.
The group L.I. Against Domestic Violence says that one in three adolescents have experienced some form of abuse during their dating life.
They have a hotline set up for those who need help at 631-666-8833. More information can be found here.
