The gas prices across the state and on Long Island have reached new record-highs this morning.
The national average price for a gallon of gas sits at $4.99.
In New York the price for an average of a gallon of gas is $5.02.
On Long Island, the average for a gallon of regular is $5.03.
The Long Island average is up 18 cents from a week ago, and up about 42 cents from a month ago.
