A Greenport High School graduate who was convicted for his role in the deadly Capitol riot allegedly faked an overdose in order to delay his sentencing.
Federal prosecutors say Christopher Worrell was on the run for a month last summer, just days before he was initially set to be sentenced.
Prosecutors say the FBI found him in his home in September with a bottle of pills next to him, but claim it was staged to put off his sentencing.
Worrell is set to be sentenced on Thursday.  Prosecutors originally asked for a 14-year sentence but are now expecting it to be longer.
