The Board of Directors for the Nassau Health Care Corporation will have four new appointments starting Sunday.

Gov. Kathy Hochul recently announced the appointments, which includes former Hofstra president Stuart Rabinowitz.

Officials say they will help strengthen Nassau University Medical Center’s financial and operational stability.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman provided News 12 with a statement. It said in part, “the crisis at NUMC is directly attributable to governor Hochul’s defunding of the hospital for the past three years."
