FBI: LI man facing charges for Jan. 6 insurrection did not show up for sentencing

Prosecutors say the Christopher Worrell attacked police with pepper spray during the storming of the Capitol.

A former Long Islander facing charges in connection to the Jan. 6 insurrection is on the run, according to the FBI.
Christopher Worrell was set to be sentenced Friday but did not show up. He has already been convicted for storming the Capitol.
Prosecutors say the Greenport High School graduate attacked police with pepper spray during the siege in Washington D.C.
Court documents shoe he was a member of the Proud Boys.
There is now a bench warrant for Worrell’s arrest.
