Preps underway for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

People from across the tri-state made their way to Manhattan to get a close-up look at the balloons that will be appearing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The inflation process has become a tradition for some families, just like the parade itself.
The balloon inflation happens off Columbus Avenue, on 77th and 81st streets, near Central Park.
Those with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade tell News 12 that 34 balloons will be prepared for their flights Thursday morning.
New balloons this year include Derpy The Tiger, from the hit show on Netflix, K-Pop Demon Hunters. Also new, Buzz Lightyear by Pixar Animation Studios, and Pac-Man.
There are also the classic balloons like Pillsbury Doughboy and Spider-Man.
