A man has been shot in Wheatley Heights, according to Suffolk Police.
Police say that the 40-year-old was sitting in the driver's seat of a parked 2014 Toyota Prius on 17 Locust Ave. around 10:20 a.m. Another vehicle pulled alongside him and fired multiple shots, striking him in the arm before they fled.
The man was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
