The power went out once again across Long Island as a third nor'easter slams the region in less than two weeks.
Island-wide, PSEG said about 3,000 people remained without power by 4:30 p.m. out of more than 18,000 who lost it in the storm Tuesday.
PSEG said there were a few hundred power outages around Bohemia early on, but crews restored service after about two hours.
"I heard the oil burner come on I was like, thank you God, we're getting heat," said Barbara Bonavoglia, of Norman Drive. "It got cold in the house, oh, very cold."
Residents there said they were getting sick of the winter weather as they stepped outside to dig out.
"It's March, let's get done with this," said Anthony Cupolo. "It's time for boating weather."
Spring is less than one week away.
Perhaps tired of waiting, resident Tom McTiernan decided to take a bike ride in the thick of the storm.
"I don't mind the snow so much, but I'd like the spring to come," he said.
