A woman was arrested for fatally striking a bicyclist in Atlantic Beach on Tuesday morning and driving away.

Erin Henry, 67, of Long Beach, hit the male victim and fled the scene, Nassau police say.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Beech Street near the intersection of Scott Drive.

After an investigation involving both Nassau and Long Beach police, Henry’s 2019 Honda HRV was located and she was placed into custody.

The bicyclist, whose identity has not yet been released, died at the scene.

Erin Henry pleaded not guilty at her arraignment.

Her attorney told News 12 that this was a terrible accident with no criminality.

Bail was set at $25,000 cash.
