A power outage is currently affecting three Long Island beaches.

PSEG Long Island says that a contractor, not affiliated with the company, hit an underground cable around 4 p.m. on Thursday near the East Bathhouse at Jones Beach.

The outage is affecting Jones Beach field 6, Tobay Beach and Gilgo Beach, with 153 customers currently affected by the outage, according to PSEG. The estimated time for restoration is Saturday at 8 a.m.
