Police: Suspect wanted for robbing Uniondale gas station

Authorities say the suspect approached a male store employee, displayed a handgun and demanded cash.

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who robbed the Conoco gas station in Uniondale on Thursday.
Authorities say a man wearing a black sweatshirt, blue vest and a mask entered the business at 1198 Front St. at around 7:45 p.m.
The suspect approached a male store employee, displayed a handgun and demanded cash.
Police say the victim complied. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene.
Police say the employee was the only other person present in the store at the time. No injuries were reported.
Anyone with information is urged to call police.
