The Village of Port Jefferson is considering an application for a four-story hotel at Main Street and Arden Place - at the site where the Gap was located until 2019.

The application calls for a 40 unit boutique hotel, with retail space on the ground floor and a rooftop bar and restaurant on top.

Parking is a concern, as are zoning restrictions for the site, which currently limit any building to three stories.

No action has been taken by the planning board at this time.
