A suspect is wanted for a burglary and assault of a homeowner Friday in Commack, according to police.

Authorities say the suspect rang the doorbell at a residence on Daisy Lane just after 7:30 p.m.

The suspect then displayed a handgun and assaulted the homeowner before fleeing the scene.

Police say the homeowner was hospitalized with minor injuries.

No arrests have been made, according to authorities.
