Police say they received a tip from a state task force to investigate Salvatore Passarelli Jr., a level 1 sex offender.

Police executed a search warrant of the 36-year-old’s Bay Shore home last week and several electronic devices.

The devices contained images of child porn, police say.

Multiple unregistered screennames were also discovered.
