Police: Franklin Square priest arrested for forcibly touching woman at church

Police say John Adjei-Boamah and the victim knew each other. He was living in the church rectory at the time of the incident and later moved to Ronkonkoma.

A Franklin Square priest is facing charges for forcibly touching a woman at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in March, according to police.

John Adjei-Boamah, 43, is accused of approaching the victim from behind and touching her as she worked in the church kitchen.

Police say he and the victim knew each other. He was living in the church rectory at the time of the incident and later moved to Ronkonkoma.

Adjei-Boamah was apprehended on Thursday. He has been charged with forcible touching and sexual abuse.
