Investigators are on the scene of a deadly shooting in Hempstead. The incident happened on Lawson Street last night.

There are reports it may have been a drive-by and the victim is a young man.

Police are not confirming information. So far no arrests have been made.

Talking about what this first weekend of December technically, well, not technically winter but kind of winter is going to be like rich. Yes, in the weather world it is the beginning of winter. Meteorological winter starts today and we're going to be warming things up. Today will be the warmest day of the week for our Monday through Friday time frame. Now starting off this morning, still that bit of a chill, but we have dry weather conditions you can see right now. 30 seven Hempstead, 37 in Valley Stream, 40 in Medford, 45 Bridge Hampton already 49 degrees in Montauk. You're gonna notice a different feel to the air for today. Starting off with sunshine and clouds during our midday. If you're gonna be around Jericho, today, temperatures will be in the lower fifties and then towards 567 o'clock, here comes some of that wet weather. So if you have the evening plans be prepared for some scattered showers is developing and it was uh temperatures again, they're cold right now and you can see the wet weather developing out to the west. This is approaching Long Island morning sunshine, then the clouds and the rain showers developing between about five and 7 p.m. And again, as we go through this evening, here's some of that wet weather. Around eight o'clock tonight, the showers are coming on through and that will be with us through about 10 p.m. And then right now your Saturday is more dry track rain for your Sunday. Again, highs today in the fifties morning, sunshine, afternoon clouds showers after four pm, sun goes down. Now at 425 lows are in the forties, showers through midnight and then some drizzle and fog through Saturday morning, mainly dry Saturday rain on Sunday, especially in the afternoon, drier weather coming in as we go towards next week. And right now Hanukkah, the start of that looks dry with temperatures in the forties.
