A Sussex County hospital was put on lockdown on Friday amid reports of an armed person in the area.
It was believed that an armed person went into Newton Medical Center Friday afternoon. The hospital was put on lockdown as a precaution.
Police were able to find the person and determined that there was no danger to the public.
The lockdown was subsequently lifted.
No injuries were reported.
