Two drivers were arrested early Tuesday morning and could have their vehicles forfeited after allegedly racing along William Floyd Parkway.

According to Suffolk County police, officers saw a 2019 Ford Mustang and a 2023 Dodge Charger traveling southbound while engaged in a speed contest.

At around 1 a.m., police attempted to pull the vehicles over, but both drivers allegedly accelerated instead. They continued driving over the Smith Point Bridge before being stopped by additional responding police units.

The drivers — Halee Salomon, 22, of Queens, and Jake Roth, 29, of Lake Ronkonkoma — were charged with unlawful speed contest, unlawful fleeing, reckless driving and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Both were issued field appearance tickets, and their vehicles were seized.

Police said the cars will remain impounded as evidence and could ultimately be forfeited under local ordinance.
