A house fire early this morning on Lenox Avenue near Front Street left six residents displaced but caused no reported injuries.

The Uniondale Fire Department responded at 1:56 a.m. and quickly confirmed a working fire in a two-story home. Crews, along with multiple neighboring departments, brought the blaze under control in about an hour, despite heavy clutter conditions and no smoke detectors inside the residence.

Approximately 50 firefighters were on scene under the command of Chief Rodriguez.

Investigators from the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office and NCPD Arson/Bomb Squad are working to determine the cause of the fire.
