Police say a man was stabbed more than a dozen times and beaten with a belt at a Hempstead restaurant.
The incident happened early yesterday morning in the parking lot of El Mariachi Restaurant on Fulton Avenue.
Detectives say the 38-year-old victim and a friend were attacked by eight to 10 people. The man was stabbed 14 times.
Officials say the victim is expected to recover.
