2h agoA man was seriously injured following a crash in St. James.
Police say Timothy Hearney, of St. James, was driving a Nissan eastbound on Woodlawn Avenue when his car was hit by a Ford pickup, driven by Steven Schwamb, around 9:40 p.m. Monday.
Footage from the scene shows the badly smashed cars at the intersection of Woodlawn and Lake avenues.
Schwamb, from Centereach, was taken to Stony Brook Hospital with serious injuries. Hearney also went to the hospital, but with minor injuries.
