Police say Kurtis Eggers attacked the victim at Community Housing Innovations late Sunday and then fled the scene.

yesterdayPolice say a man was hit in the head with a hammer at a men’s shelter in Riverhead.
They say Kurtis Eggers attacked the victim at Community Housing Innovations late Sunday and then fled the scene.
Police found and arrested him a few hours later.
The victim was treated for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
