A total of 15 alleged gang members and their associates have been indicted in Suffolk.
The arrests were made following raids on eight different locations in Ronkonkoma, Coram, Central Islip, Middle Island, Farmingville and Centereach last month.
Authorities say they recovered crack cocaine, fentanyl and other illegal drugs, along with several weapons.
A release says the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, the DEA and the DEA's Long Island Heroin Task Force began the investigation a year ago into alleged drug dealing by several gang members and associates, most of whom were located in the Town of Brookhaven.
They say the investigation involved the use of undercover officers, various forms of surveillance and court-authorized eavesdropping.
Police identified five of those arrested as alleged members of the Bloods gang and another as allegedly part of the Latin Kings gang.
