Four people are safe after a fire broke out at their Elmont home Saturday, police say.

Police officers responded to the house at around 5 p.m. and brought the four occupants out of the home on Catherine Court.

They were treated at a nearby hospital.

There is no word on if any injuries were suffered.

Fire officials say the fire does not appear to be suspicious, but the investigation is ongoing.
