(10/17/07) BELLMORE (AP) - Police say a boys' baseball practice spawned an adult brawl when a player's father and uncle beat up his coach, sending him to a hospital. Nassau County police say the father and uncle went to the 11-year-old boy's practice last evening at Newbridge Road Park in Bellmore, Long Island. After getting into an argument with the 45-year-old coach, they pummeled him with their fists and feet. He was taken to a local hospital where he was admitted for treatment. The 48-year-old father and 43-year-old uncle were given desk appearance tickets on a charge of third-degree assault. They were told to appear in court on Oct. 31.
