Police: Couple killed in Melville crash

They say it happened on Ruland and Pinelawn roads at around 1 p.m. when 92-year-old Fred Goldberg lost control of the car, veered through traffic, crossed a median and struck two cars.

A couple was killed Wednesday afternoon in a Melville crash, police say.
They say it happened on Ruland and Pinelawn roads at around 1 p.m. when 92-year-old Fred Goldberg lost control of the car, veered through traffic, crossed a median and struck two cars.
Police say Fred Goldberg and his wife 86-year-old Leah Goldberg died at a hospital.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
