Police say a body was found Thursday afternoon in Manorville.
Police say a passing motorist called 911 at around 1:45 p.m. after noticing a small fire in the woods off Wading River Manor Road. The Manorville Fire Department responded to the scene, discovered that a body was burning and extinguished the blaze.
Suffolk County homicide detectives and the arson squad are investigating.
The deceased has not yet been identified.
