A Brooklyn man is facing charges for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in Hempstead, according to Nassau police.

Authorities say the offense occurred on Friday at 11:55 a.m. Manuel Lopez Gil, 30, was apprehended the following day in Brooklyn.

He is charged with two counts of rape and sexual abuse.
