Police: 2 men arrested for storing, setting off illegal fireworks in Franklin Square

Nicholas Moschonas was seen setting off fireworks on the corner of 3rd Street and 2nd Avenue at around 6 p.m., according to authorities.

Two men are facing charges for storing and setting off illegal fireworks Thursday in Franklin Square, police say.
Nicholas Moschonas was seen setting off fireworks on the corner of 3rd Street and 2nd Avenue at around 6 p.m., according to authorities.
Police say they also discovered several boxes of fireworks inside a car belonging to Peter Mari.
Authorities say around 14 cases of fireworks were seized.
