Books and beverages: A new Huntington bookstore serves both

Curling up with a good book and hot drink doesn't have to happen at home. A new Huntington Village bookstore with a bar, called Published, offers cocktails, wine, beer, coffee, tea and pastries. It's located in the space that long housed Finley's of Green Street.

If you're yearning for a good read and a beverage to accompany it, you can get both at Published, a recently-opened bookstore on Green Street in Huntington.

The bookshop, offering an array of titles, has a full bar and serves non-alcoholic drinks too, like coffee and tea.

Angela and Brett Jurow, a husband and wife team, own the store.

"We just love books," Angela Jurow said.

Jurow said there's been a tremendous amount of support for the store, with people visiting from all over the Island. She said in less than two weeks they've sold almost 1,000 books.

Published is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., and 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Sunday.
