Two men are facing drug charges Thursday in connection with a bust in Franklin Square.
The bust was part of Operation Natalie, the county's renewed effort to crack down on overdoses.
Police say three guns, hallucinogenic mushrooms and a ghost gun were all found inside a Tacoma pick-up truck by criminal intelligence officers patrolling the streets of Franklin Square because of a recent spike in drug overdoses.
"What you're looking at is a piece of plastic. It's a mold, it's a ghost gun," says Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder. "This has no identifying, no ways to identify it."
Police say they noticed a pickup truck parked illegally by a fire hydrant around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.
"Once they approached, that car started to move and committed a U-turn and it was later stopped by the officers," says Ryder. "When they approached the vehicle, they observed a gun on the back-seat floor."
Police arrested Anthony Cinelli, 26, of Miller Place, and Marina Rubio, 26, of Farmingdale.
Both Cinelli and Rubio are charged with drug possession. Cinelli was also hit with a weapons charge.
Cinelli is being held on $50,000 bond. Rubio was released without bail.
