yesterdayNassau County police say the death of a young man whose body was found in Island Park earlier this month has been determined to be a homicide.
The victim sustained injuries consistent with being beaten or stabbed, according to a review by the Nassau County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police have described the victim as a Black or Hispanic male and approximately 15 to 20 years old. Officials released photos of the victim's clothing to help the public identify him.
The body was found on April 8 at a dock near Railroad Place.
