Police: 19-year-old man accused of trying to rob teen with fake gun in Garden City

Police say a 19-year-old man is accused of trying to rob a teenager, with what turned out to be a fake gun in Garden City.
It happened on Old Country Road in Garden City.
Christian Altidor, of Hempstead, was wearing a mask and showed what appeared to be a gun to a 16-year-old-boy waiting for a bus.
Altidor demanded the boy's sweater and then ran off, according to police.
He was found nearby, along with the fake gun.
