Pilot uninjured after plane goes down in Mastic

Officials say a pilot managed to walk away alive after his plane went down in a wooded area in Mastic.
Police confirm the small plane went down near North Titmus Drive and Moriches Middle Island Road just after 8 p.m. Sunday.
The pilot, identified as Yuri Koziy, of Massapequa, said the plane's engine lost power.
Koziy coasted into the tree tops, slowly came to rest on the ground and was not hurt.
