The NYPD says they are looking for a group behind a string of violent robberies citywide.
The New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers named the group the "Pepper Spray Crew." The group is accused of 19 attacks since January.
Police say many attacks involved pepper spray, physical assaults, and well as stolen cash or phones.
The suspects are believed to be between 17 and 19 years old.
The New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers is calling for stronger accountability.
"We're asking our legislators, if you see that these people, whether they're kids or not, if they're committing adult crimes, punish them accordingly," said Fernando Mateo, of the NYSFTD.
The NYPD says a 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the incidents. It urges anyone with information on the other suspects to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers tip line.
