Some Long Island patients are scrambling to get a new doctor after a popular medical company appears to have suddenly shut down.
The patients News 12 spoke with say they got both emails and texts to their phones, reminding them of their appointments for Monday - only to arrive and discover their Blueprint MD facility closed.
Sabrina Law, of, Bayshore, said, “It is ridiculous. I’m coming from out east for this. Now, I have wasted gas, wasted my time, wasted my day.”
Complaints about Blueprint MD, which has offices in Melville, Massapequa and Valley Stream, started in December, according to social media posts.
Patients tell News 12 they are very concerned because even if they switch doctors, they have not been able to get their medical records.
Darlene Fuina, of Massapequa, tells News 12, “I am ready to find a new doctor, and it is disgusting how people can run a business this way.”
News 12 reached out to all three offices, and other numbers the company listed online and either got non-working lines or a busy tone.
