The results of an audit on the Patchogue-Medford School District are expected to expose a spending scandal.
The results will be announced Thursday night at a special school board meeting at Saxton Middle School. Superintendent Michael Mostow speculates that the audit will reveal misspending and inappropriate business procedures on the part of the district.
Mostow said that the district is not only running on a contingency budget, but is also working at a considerable deficit. He added that government assistance might be necessary.
