Oyster Bay is getting $435,000 in state funding to improve water quality in Oyster Bay Harbor.
The project calls for floating wetlands, oyster reefs, and parking lot upgrades at Beekman Beach.
It is also expected to filter stormwater runoff that has led to the closure of swimming areas and shellfish harvesting in the past.
