An overturned tractor-trailer halted traffic in the westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway during Tuesday morning's commute near exit 49.
The tractor-trailer dumped garbage on the roadway.
Crews could be seen from Chopper 12 cleaning up the area with heavy equipment.
There was no word on what caused the tractor-trailer to overturn.
