A group who call themselves the Gathering of Eagles, went head to head with the Suffolk Peace Network, a group of anti-war protestors, Saturday during an anti-war protest.
Gathering of Eagles claims the anti-war group is using images of deceased soldiers to further their cause. Dan Maloney, a spokesperson for the group, believes in the mission of the troops in the country?s fight against terror.
?Nobody wants them to die over there, but there comes a time when we have to fight for something, and in this case, we're fighting for freedom,? said Maloney.
Suffolk Peace Network is calling for an immediate withdrawal of American troops stating that the war has only been destructive to the economy and families of military soldiers. They plan to hold a ceremony for fallen soldiers of the war at Jones Beach on May 24th.
