Opening statements are expected today in the murder trial of a Nassau man accused of killing his wife.

Robert Crumb is charged with stabbing and killing his wife Maria.

Investigators say the deadly stabbing happened in their Bethpage home in 2016.

Crumb’s teenaged daughter was wounded when police say she tried to stop the attack.

Prosecutors have not given a motive for the killing.

Crumb has pleaded not guilty.
