A Chaminade High School senior is
bringing together a winning team and the hard work is all for heart awareness.
Noah Marotta, of
St. James, is a rower for Chaminade’s crew team.
“I knew February
was heart awareness month, heart health month, so I was like, I can get people
moving with me,” says Marotta.
Marotta said
everyone would send him their meters and the goal was to see how many meters
they can do as a group.
Moving is the number one way to
reduce heart disease.
Marotta says both of his grandfathers
have had serious heart surgeries in the past three
years.
“I just wanted to
give back and raise heart awareness as well as meters and money for the
American Heart Association,” says Marotta.
Marotta had a goal of $10,000 and
he exceeded it.
