The LuHi summer program serves over 1,000 kids each day, and while having fun is important, so is staying cool as the temperatures rise.

That's why the camp sent parents an e-mail Friday morning to make them aware of the hot weather and the increased hydration kids would be receiving during the day.

Camp administration say they are trying to keep activity lengths a bit shorter while increasing the frequency of breaks - all while making sure campers get time out of the sun, and take part in water activities, like the pool or water slide.
